 New Hospital Administrator is Named
Low Moor, VA, May 25, 2005 Timothy C. Tobin has been named Chief Executive Officer at Alleghany Regional Hospital. He will assume his duties at ARH June 1. I am excited to join the team at Alleghany Regional Hospital as well as the Alleghany Highlands community, says Tobin. Tobin will replace Daniel W. Jackson, who left ARH to become Chief Executive Officer at North Lakes Regional Medical Center, an HCA facility located in Tucker, Georgia. Tobin has most recently served as the President and Chief Executive Officer at Clinch Valley Medical Center, a 200-bed hospital in Richlands, Virginia. Prior to holding that position, he was the Chief Executive Officer for Coliseum Medical Centers in Macon, Georgia. Tobin has held other leadership positions with HCA since joining the company in 1985. Tim is a very polished and effective CEO with a proven track record of success in hospitals, said Margaret Lewis, chief executive officer for HCAs Central Atlantic Division. He brings strong management skills and operational experience to this facility and were thrilled hes agreed to lead the Alleghany Regional team. Tobin holds a Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration from the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. Tobin is a Diplomate of the American College of Healthcare Executives. During his time at Clinch Valley Medical Center, he has served as President of the Richlands Area Chamber of Commerce; Chairman of Board for One Care of Southwest Virginia; an active member of the Richlands Economic Enhancement Committee, the Richlands Management Team, the Back to Front Revitalization Team; and a volunteer for the Richlands Teen Center. Tim, his wife Sue, and their two children plan to relocate to the Clifton Forge area.
